Description

This Recruitment and Interview Skills Workshop is ideal for those new to a Recruitment role and Manager / Hiring Managers. Its also suitable for Boards and Executives who are looking to refine and ensure Unconscious Bias is not impacting on their decisions when hiring key positions. It will help participants develop their interviewing skills to select the right person. They will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to prepare for interviews, determine the right questions to ask and to analyse a candidate’s answers.

Participants work through real-life recruitment scenarios from your own recruitment processes. During this program, participants are given the opportunity to practise newly acquired skills through group activities, mock interviews, real interview preparation exercises, and develop behavioural-based interview guides.   Workshop topics addressed include:

  • Different interview styles and techniques
  • Legislation and relevant legal considerations that apply to your proceses
  • Unconscious Bias, Stereotyping and irrelevance of information that influences your decisions
  • Role profiling and analysis tools that are to be used for selection processes, integrity checks and cultural fit
  • Assessing candidate suitability through detailed frameworks
  • Developing and using interview guides (sample behavioural interview questions and sample interview guide are provided)
  • Body language and sensory perceptions
  • Developing and using behavioural-based interview questions
  • Apply techniques for use in controlling the interview. (Tips and Secrets)
