Module 1 introduces you to workplace racism and its different forms. You’ll:

  • Learn what racism means in the workplace context,
  • Understand how race is constructed in different societies,
  • Explore historical and present-day impacts of racism,
  • Look at real examples of workplace racism, and,
  • Examine how racism affects individuals, teams, and organisations.

Module 2 helps you recognise racism in workplace settings. You’ll:

  • Learn how to spot everyday racism and microaggressions at work,
  • Understand workplace dynamics that contribute to exclusion,
  • Explore how cultural stereotypes affect workplace relationships and collaboration, and,
  • Learn about systemic racism in employment practices.

Module 3 covers legal responsibilities and obligations.  You’ll learn about:

  • The key anti-discrimination laws across different countries and regions,
  • The legal differences between direct and indirect discrimination,
  • What leaders must do to prevent racism, and,
  • Your rights and responsibilities under global and local anti-discrimination legislation.

Module 4 guides you in building personal awareness and taking action.

In this module, you’ll explore:

  • How to reflect on personal bias and recognise privilege,
  • The role unconscious bias plays in workplace exclusion and inequality,
  • Practical strategies to interrupt biased thoughts and behaviours,
  • How to effectively address racist behaviours and comments, and,
  • Ways to advocate for colleagues from diverse backgrounds and create safe spaces.

And finally, Module 5 explores how to sustain an anti-racist workplace.
